In Ireland, you find the Irish Sports Horse. The Netherlands’ main warmblood breed is the Dutch Warmblood (KWPN), while France has the Selle Francais and Belgium has the Belgian Warmblood. The warmblood horse hails from Europe, where each country has its own breed registries, some countries have more than one, such a Germany, where you find the Holstein, Hanovarian, and Oldenburg. So here, we will touch on the warmblood in general as their characteristics are similar across the breeds.
